What happened between you and Pyrrha was awful... neither of you deserved that.
[ He means the way they were set up by Emerald, although the sentiment can be applied to the fact that Pyrrha also got murdered on the same day. Penny likely doesn't know about that, but that's a story best left for Pyrrha to tell (if she chooses). ]
I think you should talk to her, Penny. It's the only way to move forward, and leave the past where it should be.
[ Or, for a more simple answer, he smiles at her: ]
...Yeah - I believe you two can still be friends.

Great! Let's go!
[Zwei gives an accompanying yap. He is eager to go outside!
Now, Yang knows that Zwei is a smart enough dog that he can probably take himself for a walk, but the exercise is more a pretense than anything.
That said though, she'll wait until they're a few blocks away from the shared house, heading vaguely in the direction of one of Verens's parks before she asks.]
How've you been doing?

That's good. I'm glad you're fitting in well.
[She did notice the lack of Pyrrha and Ruby mentioning. She'll swing back to that later though.]
I'm doing okay. It's nice to have everybody sorta back to normal, you know?
[None of them'll ever fit any true definition of "normal" but at least nobody's memories are completely messed up anymore.]

Well, they were, when you first got here. ...Sort of.
[You know, leaving aside the fact that the island wasn't floating anymore. And Pyrrha being away on an excursion. Plus their group's whole, "Omigawd, it's Penny" scramble that everybody did. ...Hmm.]
Nobody had weird memories they weren't supposed to have at least, you know?
[That kind of normal.
She pauses as Zwei scampers off to sniff at and then run small circles around a nearby tree as they enter a small park.]
I'm glad that's over at least.
[She's a little less sure about the other drama within their small group.

Stuff here messing with us? Yeah.
[It's said earnestly but with a sort of wry humor to it. Empatheias is a trip.]
Usually it's just emotions though. Things making you moody or clingy or really happy.
[Or accidentally triggering the hell out of you, but let's jump over that.]
Messing up people's memories was new though. I don't know if something like that's ever happened before but I really don't want it to happen again.
[That was not fun.]

Yeah, I guess. I mean, since the whole planet kinda feeds off emotions or something and the Arehtei do too...sorta. [She is incredibly unclear on how the Arehtei function.] It makes sense...
[Still sucks tho.
She shrugs and offers a small smile, bending down as Zwei comes scampering back to them, dragging a stick as long as he is.]
It's really different from back home but, I don't think I mind so much, you know?

[It's an expression Yang catches easily, her own features falling even as she lightly ruffles Zwei's fur before letting him go chasing off with the ridiculously over-sized stick in his mouth.]
Penny...
[Her tone is cautious as she straightens back up, brushing her hands off on her pants as an afterthought.]
I've been wanting to ask but... [But the question is kinda entirely personal. And possibly inappropriate. All the same, she pushes forward.] Was...is there any chance somebody could've...?
[She hesitates because the wording that jumps to mind is "fixed you" but she's well aware of how much that makes Penny sound like some kind of appliance. A thing.
Yang shakes her head and tries a different avenue.]
It's just...you're made of way tougher stuff than the rest of us. I guess I was just wondering if there was any way someone, maybe somebody in Atlas, could've helped you...?
[Unconsciously, her left hand reaches up to grasp at the sleeve near her right elbow.]

[A small smile crosses Yang's features. It's somber but somewhat hopeful too, as she nods her understanding. Her own father had mentioned that Ironwood put his top scientists to work on the arm she was eventually given. It's kinda nice to think that maybe one of those scientists was Penny's dad, even if it's probably unlikely.
She can't help but ask curiously though.]
What's your dad like?
[Penny obviously has so much love and goodness in her, Yang would kinda like to meet the guy someday.]

[That description does remind Yang of her own dad a little. All the good dads in Remnant seem to have a protective streak but can anyone really blame them?]
He sounds...pretty great.
[Yang glances at Penny with a warm smile.]
I hope I'll get to meet him someday.

[Soundwave's on a mission today. His destination: the Remnant House. He has a gift in one hand, and there's one person in mind he's planning to give it to. Although he doesn't celebrate this human holiday, it does give him an excuse to give his friend a gift.
Once arrived at the doorstep, he sets the small box down and knocks on the door a couple of times. When that's all done, he stands there for a couple of seconds, contemplating to wait, before he immediately turns around, transforms, and drives away.
The gift is wrapped in blue and white snowflakes wrapping gift, along with robots dressed in different Christmas-themed costumes! Attached on top of the box is a Christmas card, wishing a Merry Christmas on front, and inside is a short message that reads:]
Penny Polendina,
While we do not celebrate this earthling holiday called "Christmas" on my homeworld, I'm not sure if you do either, but I wished you a Merry Christmas all the same. I hope you like this gift I have for you.
And thank you. For that hug you gave last month.
- Soundwave
[Inside the box is a vial necklace filled with a translucent pink glowing liquid inside and a bow next to it. When Penny wears the necklace, she'll feel a burst of appreciation and happiness from it. There's not a gross amount of them but it's definitely huge.]

[A delivery with no return address arrives for Penny, consisting of a stuffed white bunny, a bouquet of roses, and a long red ribbon to use in her hair.
Miss Polendina,
You are a lovely young lady. I don't feel at all alone or out of place with you, and love your company very much.
I hope this doesn't get lost in all the other Valentines you will receive.
~A Secret Admirer ♥
Every lady deserves at least one secret admirer, even if Elphelt is expecting Penny to see through her silly attempt to make the robot feel like a normal special girl. Whether or not she does, though, is another matter.]

[Yang made some small giftboxes for all her friends for Valentine's Day and she wanted to make sure she put one together for Penny. Only trouble is, she made chocolate chip cookies for most everyone else which...kinda won't work here.
So instead, she found a cute Valentine's Day-themed puzzle cube to give to her instead. There's a card that goes with it which reads, "It's not puzzle-ing what makes you great! Happy Valentine's Day."]

Oh... Hello, Penny.
[ As it happens, it's Nora's day to do the dishes but Pyrrha's bubbly gal pal is nowhere to be found, so Pyrrha is taking on the duty for herself. Nora, she reasons, is likely enjoying some alone time with Ren... This is the least she can do for them.
Unbothered by the distraction, Pyrrha smiles over at the baby robot, even as she continues scrubbing away, arms submerged - elbow-deep - in hot, soapy water. ]
I'm just tidying up the kitchen. [ And then: ] You look happy.

[ Pyrrha's almost done, in fact, but Penny is more than welcome to keep her company as she does the dishes. Catching sight of the flower crown, her smile only grows. ]
That's beautiful.
[ And... quite a bit of effort. Not that she's condemning. Just the opposite, in fact. Penny has a friend who weaves her a flower crown filled with colour-changing flowers? Curiouser and curiouser! This is a fascinating development and worth probing into more.
Not that, uh, Pyrrha is just doing this for gossip to share with Jaune. ]
Who made that for you?
